"My name is Jessica. I would first like to give all praise, honor and glory of my testimony to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without him I wouldn't be here to share my story with you today. Thank you Jesus! I was an IV user and addicted to methamphetamines for five years and had been smoking marijuana since I was sixteen. My addiction had taken everything from me, turned me into someone I didn't recognize. I lost my son to the department of social services due to truancy and my failed drug tests. Then a year later I lost my housing and that's when I decided to call my social worker to and told her I needed help because I didn't want to loose my children for good. That same day, my two daughters would go into social service's custody and be placed with my son. That's when the Lord began to work on me. I realized it was a huge blessing to have the social worker who I had working on my case because she showed me the light and love of our heavenly father. She helped me get right into detox and then from there into Vessels of Mercy (September 28th, 2017), where I found the true meaning of a relationship with our Lord. As I learned to walk in submission to God and in obedience to his word, he began to transform me and I found who I was in Christ. What the enemy had taken, the Lord restored back to me so much more. Thank you Lord for breaking the chains that had me bound! While at Vessels, the Lord opened up a door for me to go back to school and get my CNA1 certificate and blessed me with a wonderful job working for a Christian company. I graduated from Vessels of Mercy on September 28th of 2018. The Lord has restored me relationship with my children and they are now back home with me full time and I now have full custody of them (thank you Lord!). Thank you Lord for the restoration of a relationship with my mom. The Lord has blessed us with a nice home and car and my new smile (my teeth). Thank you Lord for the provisions you provide us with daily. I'm blessed beyond measure with an amazing support system from my Vessels family and our church family. My children are doing amazing in school and they love being back together as a family, thank you Jesus! I'm so blessed that my oldest daughter works with me on the media team at our church and my two younger children help where they can when needed. I thank the Lord for saving me from the dark pit I was in and showing me his light. Thank you Lord for the godly leaders that you places at Vessels to be an example of how to walk our your word in obedience and integrity. Thank you Lord for the transformation and restoration that you have done in me. Everyday that I wake up, I thank the Lord for another day sober and to be a light for someone, all for your glory Lord. Thank you Lord, without you I wouldn't be where I am today."
